We’re Karen and Therese, lifelong dog lovers, devoted “pawrents,” and the founder of Urban Tailz. After years of building successful careers in hospitality, we felt a deep pull to do work that mattered more—to create a space where dogs aren’t just cared for, but seen, loved, and treated like family.
Inspired by our own pups, Cairo and ChuChu, we opened our hearts and home to dogs in our community. We know what it’s like to cancel plans because you can’t bear to leave your dog behind—and we wanted to change that. Urban Tailz is our way of giving dog parents peace of mind, knowing their pups are safe, happy, and truly cared for while they’re away.

Urban Tailz is more than just a place to drop off your dog—it’s a holistic haven designed for their well-being.
Here, dogs get to be dogs—running free in our fully fenced yard, playing in the saltwater pool, napping in the sun, or lounging in our climate-controlled dog lounge, built just for them. Every detail is intentional, from the bowls, beds, and blankets, to the always-full water stations and careful supervision by our team.
